If you arrive without a vehicle
If you arrive with very little or lightweight carryable luggage, the eight block distance to Hillside House is not difficult to walk. It is mostly a moderate uphill walk, with some flat sections, on sidewalks for 90% of the distance. If you have bulky, heavy luggage or the weather is against you (too hot or too wet), or if you are not wearing walking shoes we recommend taking a taxi. The taxi cost is about $6.00 to $8.00.
