Pacific Catalyst II, Inc. offers unique small ship cruises in the sheltered inside passage of Southeast Alaska and the Pacific Northwest aboard the historic wooden vessel, M/V Catalyst. We observe the rule of leave only footprints or better yet only memories of the paddles. By becoming a part of the nature you have come to observe, we hope that you will leave with the appreciation of the need to steward it wisely.
Our itineraries explore and kayak the San Juan Island and Gulf Island archipelago, up and down the Inside Passage formed by Vancouver Island through the Great Bear Rainforest and the islands of British Columbia and into the protected waterways of Southeast Alaska from Ketchikan to Glacier Bay National Park and Reserve. In 2007 we have berths available for all our Southeast Alaska Natural History Cruises, our Southern Inside Passage both north and south bound, and our fall trips in the San Juan/Gulf Island Archipelago. We travel with no more than 12 passengers and a three to four person crew.
The Catalyst is also available for whole boat custom charters in SE Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. All the Alaska and Pacific Northwest itineraries are offered as individual cabins and whole boat charters. Pacific Catalyst II, Inc. is authorized to operate in the Tongass National Forest and Glacier Bay National Park and Reserve by special use permits from the USDA Forest Service and the National Park Service. We also have arranged protocol agreements with the First Nations in British Columbia.
