A Trophy Fishing Charters was started in 1993 by Captain Monty Runge, we began by launching our charters out of Bellingham and Anacortes, Washington; in 1994 we moved our operation to Friday Harbor. The move to Friday Harbor resulted in improving the overall charter fishing experience by:
- Lowering our charter fishing prices
- Reducing travel time
- Eliminating rough Strait crossings
- Reducing client fatigue
- Increasing fishing time
We cater to several local resorts, large and small companies, foreign organizations, celebrities, as well as the "folks that live down the block". Captain Monty is a seasoned, US Coast Guard licensed captain and knows the San Juan Islands like no one else.
